Located in Goodlettsville, TN, just twenty minutes outside of Nashville, our 21-acre plot boasts flat pasture for farming and growing, trails for hiking and exploring, a community house for education and gatherings (coming in 2026!), and endless opportunity for future growth.
Microfarm, Massive Possibilities
Modest in size and features, the land on which Wonderful People Microfarm sits was (and is) perfect because of its imperfection. Prior to tending and cultivating the land, it didn’t look like typical farmland — it just looked like infertile land. But after plenty of planning, labor and care, this plot of Earth has evolved into what is now a thriving foodscape, community hub, and retreat for rejuvenation and respite. The land and its continual evolution serve as another reminder for the power of hard work and the possibilities that any plot of land may provide.
Growing Food, Minds, Community
The success of Wonderful People Microfarm hinges both on our proximity to the urban communities we specifically want to engage in our efforts, as well as our distance from the city’s urban core. Being situated outside of the busyness of the metropolitan area, WPM provides an oasis for our community; a place of serenity where we can learn and grow together in the peace and quiet of nature. This physical separation from the urban landscape gives our students the space they need to unplug. As a result, they can fully engage in our activities and focus on learning the skills we’re teaching.
