Gardening is typically used to grow food for personal use, family or hobby and is not generally sold for profit. Farming is the process of growing food and most, if not all, of what is grown is usually sold for profit.

A grower is anyone who grows fruits, vegetables, herbs, trees, plants or flowers. Producers create a finished product that is marketed and sold.

Sustainable farming maintains existing processes that are beneficial to the land and growing food over time. Regenerative farming is done to improve the conditions of or improve the quality of the soil and natural environment.
